Mint Julep

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 oz bourbon
  • 6-8 fresh mint leaves
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • Crushed ice
  • Fresh mint sprig, for garnish

Recipe

  1. In a silver or pewter julep cup or a rocks glass, muddle the fresh mint leaves with the simple syrup.
  2. Fill the glass with crushed ice.
  3. Pour the bourbon over the ice and stir gently.
  4. Garnish with a fresh mint sprig.
